6-Ingredient Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Pecans

A 20-minute classic healthy side dish perfect for your holiday table

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh Brussels sprouts, halved

  • 1/3 cup pecans, roughly chopped

  • 2+ tablespoons (enough to fully cover them) olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • 2-5 cloves garlic, minced

  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts. Place them on a large baking sheet.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, maple syrup, and minced garlic.

  4. Pour the mixture over the Brussels sprouts, tossing to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Roast for 15 minutes, then add the chopped pecans and roast for an additional 5 minutes until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy on the edges.

  6. Transfer to a beautiful serving bowl and serve hot.

Recipe Notes

  • Make ahead: You can trim and halve the Brussels sprouts up to 2 days in advance.

  • More flavor? For extra flavor, add a splash of balsamic vinegar before serving…and maybe a dash of chili flake if you’re a spice head.
